Today I decided to change the blade on  my Kapex 120 as I was starting to get a little burn mark here and there.

Only being a hobbyist it doesn't get the use of a professional workshop so I would expect the blade to last longer.
The present blade has been in place since I got the saw 4 1/2 years ago, so not bad.

How often are you guys changing the blade?

just get the origonal sharpened and look forward to another 4 years of use [cool]

I get mine sharpened every 3-4 months, but I also use my Kapex just about everyday.  I clean the blade between sharpenings which helps out alot.

What do you clean your blade with?

I just sharpened my blade and its gummy from a two days dadoing pine 2x's

Trend do a cutter and blade cleaner I use it and find it OK better to clean regularly though.. better than the citrus products apparently.

Must try that, never cleaned them in the past, thanks for the tip.

I use the cmt cleaner that Tom mentioned. Get a nice firm toothbush it helps clean the teeth of the blade nicely.

The lee valley resin cleaner works well on saw blades and router bits.
I also use the Boeshield Blade and bit cleaner.
The Freud blade and bit cleaner is not good.
