Let us know which accessories you purchased and why :)

Also, a little more about the custom extensions!

Planning on ordering one this weekend!

I got one extra clamp as the saw only comes with one.

Got the base clamping kit.

The 80 tooth blade (more to follow eventually).

Got a NAINA Saw Blade Bag dedicated to KAPEX blades (already use one for my TS55R).

Got the Multiblade sawhelper connecting brackets to build my own extensions out of 3/4 inch ply.

See; http://www.multiblades.com/kapexsawhelperbracket.html

Left side will be ~50" in line with the INCRA flip stop fence i got and ~100" to the right (same incra fence type)

See: http://www.incrementaltools.com/IncraLOCK_Flip_Shop_Stop_Fence_52_p/flipfnc52.htm

Make sure you find the small hex key for the lasers!  That little guy loves to play hide and seek.  [big grin]

Are you left handed?

I ask because I tend to like my long fence on the left where I hold the stock in place with my left (non-dominant) hand, while operating the saw with my dominant right hand.

I was just wondering about your choice...maybe I'll learn something?!

Peter,

hex key already tucked away. but i have plenty anyway....

Wayne,

No i am right handed but the space (window) dictates this setup unfortunately..... i hope the laser sighting will partially mitigate the discomfort....

Mine arrived yesterday, but is still in a box. Need to take it up to my workshop. Thanks for posting images! Can't wait to unbox it and check it out. :-)

Thanks for the list of accessories too, didn't know about the Kapex helper bracket. Very cool.

Mine came an hour ago.... Time to unbox! [big grin]

Also a CT Mini and RAS 115.04

Cheers,

Frank

When you say that the right side fence has a slight gap, is there an adjustment to correct this?  I build furniture and I would expect both sides to be dead nuts on or I would just stick with my DeWalt which has slight gaps.

It's time like these when it is a blessing to be ambidextrous!!!  :)

Hidden key?

Congrats on the saw. Buying a kapex is just about as exciting a tool purchase as it gets.

Im about to purchase a combo jointer planer and a commercial dust collection system and the excitment feels no more than the day i got my Kapex.

Enjoy!

Shop is looking good.

Got mine out of the box this morning.  Very pleased that the turntable is absolutely flush with the wings. Both fences are perfectly 90 degrees perpendicular to the table. Not a hint of light squeezing though.

Temporarily mounted on a Keter worktable, with plans to build a full miter saw station based on a Woodworker's Journal Design but with SYS-AZ drawers instead of open shelves below the table.

Here's the table and the temporary, but secure mounting on the Keter.

Here's the Miter Station I will build with modifications as mentioned...

Very pleased with the purchase. [big grin]

Nice.....

Checked for square of the fence again moving both sideways back and forth and for all intents and purposes they are both square. We are working with wood.....

Right side again

[attachimg=1]

Also used a digital angle gauge to check blades squareness.

I had to slightly adjust the right indicator.

Looked at the setup again and based on Frank's comment about being a righty I moved the saw a tad and was able to squeeze the 100" Incra rail to the left giving me roughly 9 feet of length to the blade.

Got some birch ply to built the elevated boxes.

Unfortunately have to head to London tomorrow and won't be back before Thursday next week....
