Kitchen Bath Remodel

Very nice job Chris!  Did you use the OF1010 to route the hinge mortises?  If so, I'd like to hear about your setup and thoughts on using that router for that.

What's the purpose of those plywood gussets or backers on the back of the face frame? (Not the cabinet the kids are in, but the other one)

The tile border on the floor isn't my kinda taste, it's the tile sizes, but to each his own.

Thanks!

You did a first class job Chris, you definitely made the most of a very cut up kitchen.

I know you didn't have many options with appliance placement, but I try to talk the homeowners out of having the cook top in the island. Its just not the best or safest place to sit especially for children when someone is using the cook top.

Please don't take this as criticism, its not. The job looks great.

Where did you get the interior door hardware?

I like the washer and dryer set up, I might have to borrow that
Idea for some customers of mine.

Chris great looking job. Love all the detail in the cabinets  thanks for sharing !

Nice job

I like the kitchen style. Shame about the red units though I much prefer it in White/cream.

About the boarder tiles would it not of been better of not bother with the wall and just cut the tiles down instead of doing a 1inch step at the bottom Right. As if you had tiled the floor and then put a stud wall up. It's just because you have little bits of tile and you have broken a straight line up.

Not seen architrave done like that before looks different I like it,

Great looking job Chris. I too use the PC hinge butt template kit with the OF1010. Very accurate and able to hook up to a CT.

Chris:
Great looking kitchen and bathroom.
Esthetically the doors on the washer/dryer cabinet are real nice but I am not sure they are gonna last. Time will tell. I would probably walk right into the doors while moving clothes from the washer to the dryer but maybe that's just me.

What finish (base and clear coat) did you use on the counter tops and the cabinets?

That sink looks a bit too high. I get why they/you put it like that (keep water off the counter?) but it still looks more like a laundry sink than a kitchen sink especially with those great cabinets next to it. Was that (sink and position) the customers choice?

I think the distressing and contrast between the red and white paint on the cabinets really compliments the overall design.

Very nice, congratulations!
Tim

Chris,

What a classic farmhouse kitchen, the sink is beautiful. Your selection on door hinges and door/drawer hardware is spot-on. White, very, very nice. Hiding the washer and dryer behind doors is perfect. Lastly, how old do you suspect that Powermatic drill press is??

That must be the kitchen you were working on when we stopped in for a vist?  It came out great!!    [cool]

My wife wants me to do ours now.  [embarassed]  After all, we had the same router training...  [big grin]
