Kreg Drawer Slide Jig with 3/4" "Rail"?

Does anyone know if the Kreg drawer slide jig can somehow work on a frameless cabinet with a 3/4" "rail"? I built some shop cabinets with a piece of 3/4" x 2"  plywood between each of the drawers. It doesn't seem like the Kreg drawer slide jig will work but the Rockler would. Picture attached. These are my first cabinets so any constructive criticism is welcome as I have some more important cabinets on the honey do list [laughing].

Just out of curiosity, [member=67630]TheTechRunner[/member], how did you join the sides to the horizontal components?  Dominoes?  Dowels?  [smile]

Dominoes of course! These ones are screwed in also because I didn't want to wait for glue to try with clamps but the ones on my honey do list will not have screws.

I hoped so!  Good stuff!!!  I sometimes use hidden pocket screws along with dominoes to hold things together as the glue sets up.  [smile]

Nice looking cabinets!  Here's a link to the Kreg Drawer Slide Jig manual

The description clearly states the jig can be used with both Frame and Frame-less cabinets.  Lots of ways to install drawer slides, this is certainly one of them!  Worth $25 to try IMHO.

Thanks for the link! The problem I see me running into is I have that cross member separating cabinet area and the top drawer. I think that stops me from using their standard frameless instructions. Maybe I'll just send my 5 year old into the cabinet and make him hold it lol

Set the drawer jig below the rail and cut a spacer of the required height from a couple plywood scraps.

Or make your own jig based on the Kreg design and notch out for the rail so you can set the jig below the rail but reach up behind it to support the drawer slide.

Well then. I was definitely overthinking that haha. Thanks for the idea!

You could also just cut a square spacer from plywood. Make it the height from the inside cabinet floor to what ever height the bottom edge  of the slide needs to be. And front to back so that it fits inside your frame. Based on the pictures this would be a piece about 20" x 20".

Then just place inside the cabinet against the side. Set the slide on the top edge, drill and screw in place. You can use  a clamp , small screw or brad to keep the spacer from tipping over if need be.
