KS60 and UG extensions

I have built two MFTCs, one regular and one for the KS60. Wanted to have the ability to transport systainers below. Also added foldout wings and extensions with Incra tracks. However, this does not work in practice and it becomes a bit too wide. Also, the extensions are not as long as I would like them to be, even though I made pullouts. In addition, the Incra track does not give me the range that I would like for long stock.

After coming back to the problem I now question myself why I did not go for the UG extensions from the start. Okey, they do not have the mm lockins of the Incra track, but I can live with that. Guess I was too set on the mm increments.

So now the question is, what kind of options do I have to attach the UG extensions? After realizing this I also realize that I now maybe should have gotten the KS120 as there, the extensions attach directly to the saw. I would like the portability of the KS60 though. Some advice on directions to go would be nice.

I’m pretty sure that KS 60 UG sub base has extended housings to take the extensions.

Thanks. Yes, the frame including the sub base have this. But I already have the MFTC base. Is the base available as a separate item? Maybe the easiest would be to get someone to machine tracks for the extensions on the side pull outs on the KS60. Bit of work, but should be possible. Other ideas?

You could make up a couple of boxes, to sit snug against the sides of the KS 60. Route a “V” channel into the top of them, and the extension would clamp to them in the usual way?

Thanks. Yes, this is also an option. Could just remove the pull out extensions to give me a bit more room for the boxes.

With respect to the base that is indeed available without the frame.

I think buying the separate base is your best bet, my UG base for the 120 has feet that either go into the dog holes of the Kapex MFT, or will sit on a flat surface. So apart from sitting on the UG cart, they are quite versatile.
