I own a Laguna LT14 SUV bandsaw and I am very happy with the unit. It is solidly built, smooth running, and makes very precise cuts. It is excellent at ripping and after ripping many board feet of wood I have felt the blade as a check of how hard it appears to be working? The blade remains cool to the touch indicating an easy task for the tool. I bought a circle cutting jig and also the drift master fence which allows for resawing wood to very thin and consistent thicknesses. In addition the drift master fence is designed to allow extremely easy adjustment of the fences relation to the drift angle presented by the bandsaw blade that is installed. Blade drift is characteristic in all bandsaws to varying degrees and setting the fences angle to match the drift of the blade that is currently installed in the saw allows the band saw to cut very very precise cuts. In other words as good as a table saw. I have not seen their jointer planer units and elected to buy a Hammer A3 31 as I have heard many good things about that machine. Somebody in France bought an eight inch parallelogram Laguna jointer and seemed to be very impressed with the build quality of it. But this is a jointer and not a combination unit. So if you want a great 14 inch bandsaw the Laguna LT14 SUV is the one to beat. Their eight inch parallelogram jointer seems to be very nice as well. Hope this helps.
