I have now assembled 12 drawers for my workbench, a medicine cabinet for the bathroom and a couple of other things using the Domino.  I am liking this machine more and more each time I use it AND learning more about how to use it each time.  I really wondered what use I would have for the 4 mm dominoes but have used them for assembling the drawers which are made from 17.5 mm plywood.  I know I could probably have used the 5 mm, but the 4's seem to be doing a great job of making sturdy drawers.

The next step in the Domino learning curve is to come up with a critical project for which the Domino 700 is absolutely necessary.

Mine was building a bunch of benches for my club.

Also good for 1/2" ply and face frames.

ya the 4mm would be good for mitered corners on face frames/picture frames

Recently used the Domino to make a nightstand. There is no way I would have had results as good as with the Domino. I could not cut mortise and tenon joints as accurately and as fast as I can with the Domino. I was even able to cut mortises mid-panel in several places on the table that would have been a nightmare any other way. I was able to line the Domino up properly, mark it, lay out some masking tape as a guide of the tool's location and the they all came out essentially perfect. It was amazing!

My wife would not be happy about that!  Actually, I want to buy a few other Festools before I get to a 700.

I have the Domino 500 and the XL700 and I do appreciate the 4mm cutter for small joints like these.
