LED for the C12

I completely agree about having an LED... I bought a Makita 18 volt impact driver about 1 year ago, which came with an LED light on it. At the time, I did not realize just how much I would grow to like that feature... Now having used it for some time, I simply can't believe how hand that becomes on occasion... In fact, that is one of the reasons that I have not really looked at the Festool line of drills...

Now you are understanding why I chose a Makita jigsaw over Festool - the LED light was a factor!

Yes, I currently use a Makita BDF 440 - excellent machine and that LED has saved the day on more than one occasion. Just today I used it twice.
I like the size, feel and adaptability of the C12 - if only they came out with a Li-Ion version with LED I would get one instantly. The Li-Ion batteries on the Makita work like a charm and just knowing you can come back from a lengthy vacation, pick up the machine and know the battery has not drained flat is bliss. Oh, and they charge fast too!
Li-Ion batteries have been out for many years (in other applications, like mini car racing
) so the technology is well tested.
