Anyone has a good reason not to cut  the rail of the angle unit, so it doesn't protrude over the side of the mft.

I'm dutch, so forgive my english.

Thanks to all contributors for their great idea'.

I have a great reason. If you set it at an angle from where it is now to the front left corner, you'll see that it doesn't ovehang anymore. Cutting it would mean this end would be inboard of the edge, so you couldn't set the stop behind it to make it solid at an angle. I wouldn't.

I have used my MFT for several years now.  I NEVER use it to cut angles.  It is hard to set an angle accurately, because the detents are "loose".  It is a pain to reset it to square.  And finally you get all those pesky angled cuts in the top of the MFT.  If you are like me, and don't use the angle feature, cut the end off.

I actually bent mine by accident when I closed the garage door and the unit wasn't totally inside my garage!  :o  oops.  Just bent it back up as best as possible but it still works fine.  I created a stop as suggested earlier in my own post a couple of days ago out of a toilet flange bolt and placed it directly behind the festool hold down after I squared up the unit.  Screwed it down tight and now i'm assured of a square cut after I move the angle unit to a different position and then return it.

a good idea but what keeps the toilet steady now?

Not to worry, John.  Howard used only one.  Assuming there were four to start, three are enough, according to my plumber's guide.  I assume he replaced the wax ring.

I don't know, we had to get a tile guy out recently because our bowl was rockin' like it was out at sea...So that's what those funny looking bolts are for.
