Well saves getting wet with cold water when you turn it on. You can turn the shower on from out side of the shower then you wait till the light stops flashing which tells you its at the correct temperature you set it at so its lovely and warm to just jump into the shower.

Ah, of course you must be using one of those direct gas water heaters that are still popular in the UK, right?
I was dumbfounded there for a bit since I'm so used to the local hot water reservoirs & district heating as well as my Oras Optima super quick thermostat shower mixers. Couldn't think of a single reason why I would want to remote control the showers [big grin]
i was a bit bored. so i was thinking about ways to improve my tools. that lead to things id like on them. here we are.Ken Nagrod said:Alan,
I think JMB is right. You do seem bored. Occasionally I was scanning all the posts while at the JLC Live show and saw a bunch of "Let's help design" from you. [big grin]
May I suggest a topic for your next one? Let's help design a totally new bit shape. Slotted, Phillips, Torx, Robertson and hex are so passe.
Reiska said:Thanks for the demo - I still don't find other than practical joke value in such remote control i.e. someone standing near a shower set to icy cold and you click it on remotely [tongue] but it does have inherent gadgetry value that does appeal to me as an techno-gadgeteer [thumbs up]
I'll put that on the list for the next renovations to look into after I find a working internet fridge consept from somewhere like automatic inventory based on NFC IDs and iOS apps for shoppinglist generation based on recipe + what you have in
the fridge [big grin]
