This wasn't cheap Chinese rubbish it was probably a few grand, really well made. They spent about £2 million on this little mews house it had a lift and basement cinema and bar.

At the builders show in Paris last year they had a stand with Chinese steel doors with 20 sliding bolts as described above, but as the whole door with locks could be yours for 150 euros you can imagine the quality!
Sorry I never imagined it was. I was just gobsmacked to see what rubbish the Chinese can come up with if left to their own devices. (typed on a very expensive, high quality chinese made tablet)

Very astute observation considering they likely wouldn't be building those devices if people like us weren't buying them.

yep that sort of thing [eek]

I found it kind of funny (in a weird way). I cannot fathom why the guy was climbing in/out the window. The front and/or back door was more than likely unlocked!

Don't use the embed code.  Just use the URL and use the hyperlink button (blue globe).

I've always been partial to a good mortise lock.  They are distinctive but hard to sell to people who don't like to spend money in the right places  [blink]

The other reason is called the castle doctrine  [eek]
