Long-arm wood rack ideas?

I'm after a wall-mounted lumber rack with arms longer than the Grizzly / Porta length of 12". Wood like to store wider pieces like some narrower slabs. I've seen several guys using an adjustable, cantiliver, shelf style brackets. Something like this:

Any ideas?

Would like it to hold anything I put on it.

That is a lot of weight pulling in on a wall (Anything less than those trees for structure shown above could potentially fail over the years). Personally I would want a large part of the load transferred to the ground. Got a welder? You can make something like this below. I have one I use for steel and other long items. It is free standing but tied to the wall in multiple places in case of an earthquake.

Lots of ideas on McMasters' site for wall mount and floor racks. Not known for having the lowest prices but a wide variety in one place to review and get ideas from.

Remember McMaster is much like Sears/Craftsman was, for the majority of items they carry they don't make anything they just sell other peoples stuff but unlike Sears they don't put their label on it. If you are good at searching the web you can often find the exact same item elsewhere for a little less.

I lagged 4 x 4s to my wall & used 1 inch  black pipe for the stand out lumber supports. The longest support is 30 inches.

I'm with Peter on this, that's a lot of weight to rely on a wall bracket and lag bolts.

If you can't do a custom welded rack, take a look at pallet racks or cantilever racks. Cantilever racks are what you'll see in the lumber aisles in the big box stores.

Used pallet racks are readily available but I'm not so sure about the cantilever racks. But they should be.
