Has anybody else got this set up or any info on it-

I've got my mft with the vl module that sits on the end it, with the cms aluminium insert and ts 75 set up in it.

I just bought the longitudinal rip fence for it, part no 492095, but the fence is actually shorter than the table with the saw in it, so that the metal hook at tha far end of the fence cannot hook over the far end of the table.

Could anybody please if there is a longer fence or do i just have to keep using it without the metal hook, which is not actually so bad, it still does the same job without it, but it would be nice to be able to use it as it was intended.

Many Thanks in advance - Dan James.

hi dan. i am buying this LA Fence 492 095 very soon.

i am very surprised that the metal clip does not hook on the back V of the cms table for you.
i am sure it is not designed to just sit loose.
it is designed to lock at the front and rear of the cms.

i recommend you call you local festool dealer.

regards, justin.

Dan,
The articlenumber of the one you have is for the ripfence for the CMS GE  (the freestanding cms base)

There's also a version for the CS70 tablesaw, I just checked and it fits on the mft3, so it should work with the cms unit that hooks on to the mft3.

I found it: articlenumber: 488062 link

In the link it says it's an accessory for the CS70 and mft3-VL

Hello Dan,

you need the CS-70 LA (488062) as in Frank-Jans message.
Return the CS-50 LA and get the 70 instead, using both "hooks" as intended makes the the fence really stable and precise.

I am actually in the same situation, but reversed: I have the CMS-GE and a CS-70 LA, but since i bought the items in an auction, i can't return the non-fitting fence. If you have a problem returning the LA, we could swap fences, but since I am in Sweden, the shipping costs could be a problem...

Anyway, if you are interested, let me know!

Regards,
/fth

Thank you for your replies, I shall be changing my fence tomorrow.

Many Thanks - Dan James. [big grin]

Wish I could make a valid comment on this topic, BUT none of these Festool items are available in the USA?  [crying]

I made the same mistake... since the catalogue isn't very clear, now have the 70 version which fits my MFT and CMS add-on very well
