Looking for Info - Batterie Chargers TRC and the new TCL

I am looking for some information about the "öld" TRC 3 Charger and what the difference is to the new TCL 3 apart from you can wind the cable round it.?

Grateful for any help with this. 

There are offers for the old charger and was wondering if the new one is such a step up in technology its worth shelling out the extra cash to get it.?

While the TCL3 isn't available in the US, what I've read about it is just that it's basically more compact and has the cord wrap.
