I would like to get a good bright stick light for raking light for seeing blemish shadows for sanding larger surfaces, finishing as well as for drywall.  I have a Planex LHS 2.0 and plan to be doing some popcorn ceiling removal in the near future.
I do like the Festool stand and angle adapter but for now I'm just looking for the light alternative.  I don't mind jerry rigging something if I need to.  I don't care about battery, I'd rather plug it in.  Looking for tripod capable stick light that can go close to the surface, not an area light work light.

The STL 450 was released back in 2017 in the Americas I believe.  That's a long time ago as far as technology goes and it seems to me LED lights have come a long way in terms of capability and cost.  Surely there must be a well priced stick light that performs similar to the STL 450 by now.

The STL is 1200 Lumens at 5000 K for high quality lighting.

example:  This says it's 7000K color and 1680 Lumens.https://www.amazon.ca/Portable-Stor...W/ref=sr_1_13?crid=2ZG9HY12WVWIR&keywords=led+light+stand+tripod+lumens&qid=1705031202&sprefix=led+light+stand+tripod+lumens%2Caps%2C99&sr=8-13&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.b06bdbbe-20fd-4ebc-88cf-fa04f1ca0da8

Not necessarily.

Top-end LED capabilities did not change much in past 10 years. What changed are the prices - you can get good LEDs at way more affordable prices these days.

The SYSLITE is in the better power-lumens ratio zone still. You certainly can get something cheaper with comparable parameters. But unlikely you can get something significantly stronger with both the wattage and longevity parameters of the SYSLITE.

Also, just be sure to not compare/buy on Lumens only. The cheap lights use less LEDs and overdrive them, they then die prematurely, locally overheat etc.

If longevity or power use is not a concern, taking a basic IP 6x industrial light from aliexpress, bolting it onto an aluminum extrusion with a tripod mounting point is the cheapest/simplest option.

e.g. stuff like below can be easily adapted:https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004494018951.html
