So I read a lot, but I haven't gotten around to posting.  Actually, I just haven't had anything post-worthy.  I made a mounting bracket for my LS 130 a few months ago and just today found some time to make an insert for the CMS.  I still have some tweaks to do, but so far I am pretty impressed with myself.[attachthumb=4][attachthumb=2][attachthumb=3]

Thanks.  Initially I thought it would be better to have the profile to be flush with the table,  but I found it to work better with the profile sitting proud of the table.  I sanded a couple door edges today and it was amazing.  No need to clamp anything.  I know Festool is all about taking the tool to the work not vice versa, but in this instance,  it is much easier to bring the work to the tool. This sander had earned a place permanently mounted.

I think this a super idea!! nice work!

gives me an idea to attach my cravex 420 in this manner to create a type of scroll saw table!! has any one else down this for a carvex?

cheers

There is actually a cms insert for the jigsaw. I haven't put a carvex in it but I did put a Trion in there.

Please do not post any shop-made solutions to mounting any cutting tools on the forum as they will be removed.

Morgan, welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing.

Shane

Thanks Shane and for the record, I would never consider putting a cutting tool in a shop made jig.  I was particularly referring to the Festool CMS-PS insert for the CMS.  I find the LS 130 to be a terrific sander, the DIY profile kit is amazing.

Hi guys, sorry for causing some ruffles in the thread but I was unaware there was already existing CMS-PS insert. I usually just search on my regular dealer website and have never seen this part before, but I'm also still learning.
Is this a part( #561262) that can be special ordered or is it NAINA?
thx

Shane, do you consider an LS130 to be a cutting tool, or just the carvex?

I mean tools with blades. Thanks.

Only the router module is available in NA. Other modules are not available due to lack of UL/CSA approval.
