Had the stuff lying around mostly. Was really easy to wire using a spare 350w pc power supply. Mounted right to the systainer, exhausting out the back. Kinda like a cheap plug-it.

Really had to shoe horn everything in, the milwaukee charger just wouldn't fit very well in any orientation. But it's in and can use both chargers with the lid closed (with adequate ventilation).

May add an intake fan/filter. More airflow means more dust will enter though...

Still have to find a way for the headunit to keep its memory too

Had some perforated steel sheet laying around from a project, thanks

That's really awesome man. I like seeing what people do with systainers, especially since I've got a few empty ones. This is definitely a great idea.

i like the idea but kinda sucks to have to open a sys lid to access charged/recharge batteries.

Nice. I always have thought that car units are perfect for this. I like the way the it is recessed in the front systainer depression.  Does that have a removable face plate?  If so that will keep the radio controls from getting bashed during transport.

That is the nicest one I've seen!  You could always put a filter on the intake to catch some of the dust.

Did you put another speaker on the other side (stereo)?  Mayne I'm missing something, but how did you power up the chargers?

Thanks!

Mike A.

Thanks guys, I took most of the ideas from other radio sys I found on the internet. Faceplate drops down for CDs which is nice to keep dust out. It's also removable but I think I will as protection around the faceplate.

The chargers are pulling power from a junction is the power supply housing.

Whether it turns out to be practical or not, I love the thought and skill that went into that. Way to go!

I'd like to know how long it will be until you do the first mod on it, and what it will be?

Saw one guy put a coffee maker in his, don't think I'll go that route though haha. Mods...well maybe just a bit of storage for ear plugs/pencils e.t.c.

Now that is cool! A multi-brand job site radio/charger! Nicely done. Could you get one of those portable cell phone battery chargers and run it on the acc. wire of the radio for the memory. Wire a 12v charger into the power supply so when you plugged in it would re-charge the pack?
