Mafell circular saw - KSP 55 / 36V

If Festool offer such a saw i will get it, but it is not the case, and corded saw will not work for me.
Mafell offers battery-saw and the battery is the same as for Bosch saw 36V, and i have 3 battery. I need a saw so i am looking for Mafell KSP 55/36V tool only, no battery.

I need a place (e-mail of phone) where i can order ONLY saw, Germany will be fine too.
Is the arbor size for this Mafell the same as on Bosch-saw-36V
Jist contacted US dealer Timber ... and the saw kit is $1430, (this means 4 times Bosch, when battery is excluded).

The Cordless TSC 55 is in effect a (EDIT)28v36v tool when used with both batteries is on my list..., which makes it an more attractive offering than the Mafell in my eyes...The 18v batteries will work in my Carvex 420 and the PDC 18/4 I just bought, so for me staying with the Festools makes a huge amount of sense, I'd get the TSC 55 kit with the two batteries and chargers, then perhaps the SDS drill BHC 18v bare model, then one extra battery so I'd have 5 18v batteries and 4 chargers... And a set consisting of the PDC 18, PSC, BHC, and the TSC, which be a great away from the grid resource.

It will likely be available as a spare part, it would be a nice addition to the TS55REQ for sure..

I'm thinking the sa,e. The dust collection shown in that video is really amazing and although I have the Midi, I am thinking of several applications where that'd be pretty sweet to have.

The dust bag will not work with the TS 55 REQ corded model. It uses a special port for attachment. The HL 850 bag, which is currently available, will work for your TS 55 REQ.

I guess it might be possible you could replace your TS 55 REQ's dust port with the new one once it's available.

Both saws have the same cutting depth on and off the rails I have the mafell kss400 36v I've had for 5 months and has being used every work day all day. I use it for everything from 1st fix, 2nd fix, roofs, timber studs, flooring etc. My own view is if you do all kinds of task go for the mafell. If you do more kitchen fitting and shop fitting then get the festool. The mafell used blades with a 20mm bore same as the festool. I'm not 100% sure if they do a naked version

Is there a reason that the Mafell KSS400 is the better choice for all around work other than the obvious benefit of the track being attached to the saw? How well does the Mafell work (how easy is it to follow a line) when no track is being used? There are times I prefer to use my TS55 without a track and it is doable but awkward. It is hard to see the line and the plunge action with no track is less than ideal. I realize the TS was not designed for off-track use...

Even though the video below is of the bigger brother, the KSS80, the video clearly explains how the KSS rails work. Bear in mind the 400 saw is an older design and doesn't offer all the function of the 80 shown here.

The kss400 has to be one of the most universal saw packages you can buy it will 90+% of all your saw tasks that includes all your work you would use a track saw for a standard circular saw, table saw, chop saw. For me I don't need to carry the likes a chop saw or table saw with me all the time. Some days at work I might be asked to do finishings, then I could be asked to do a cut roof, make up stud partions, basically it don't matter what I get asked to do the saw will cover the task. It's basically like having your chopsaw, circular saw and track saw in one saw. I also have the corded version after using it for about 3 years and see the advantages I find with it there was no way I would never be without for site use.  If I'm making stud partions, what I tend to do is gang cut all the studs and cripple studs. If it's 90mm studs I usually make a pile 6 wide trim one end so they are all in line and square, then I measure the size I need just on one piece then cut all 6 at once, job done and keep repeating till I have disered number cut. There is no taking each piece off the pile to then cut on the chop saw or cut each piece by hand. I have some videos on my youtube chanel of it being used for differ tasks. If I was doing only kitchens then I would probably lean more to the the tsc55 as the built in dust collection. Which I think is a really handy idea

The mafell is definitely 36v it is supplied with 2 36v 2.6 amp batteries the batteries are bosch batteries and the bosch 36v 4 amp batteries will work in. Here is a vid of trimming some rafter ends with it

Shane's right, you can. The dust bag is part number 500393; the adapter is available as a spare part, number 10015824. The adapter is 2-part - one part replaces the hose fitting on the saw, and has the bayonet fitting for the bag. The second part is an adapter that fits to the first part so you can use the standard hose instead (i.e. a second adapter to cancel out the first adapter!!!).

There is 2 kss400 saws that mafell do one is battery operated and the other is either 240 or 110. I have both the corded and cordless version. There is no difference in power and feel of the two. The only slight difference is that the cordless has an electronic brake and the blade stops in a second compared to 5 seconds on the corded version. The weight feels about the same as well. I can't comment on how the festool compares to corded version. Also mafell do a blade specially for the cordless saws which has a thinner kerf I'm not sure if festool does. Cmt also does extra thin kerf blades. The advantage is that they take out less waste and don't stress the motors as much. The mafell is a lot of money unless you make a living from your tools I'd maybe shy away from it. For me I think it's good value. By the time I add the price of a generator, a circular saw, track saw, chop saw. What do you mainly do

$US 855 with two batteries one charger, with 19% Vat included at ACH autocolor in Germany..I'd go for this deal as I already have 2 18v batteries, soon three,and five if and when I get the TSC, with all the cordless tools I'll have all together 4 chargers, after I get the other cordless tools going I can see ending up with a minimum  7 batteries, Also who knows what other 18v tools may appear in the future, a kapex 88 perhaps, a RO 90 sander, the Vecturo? I note that you say you want to get it with no batteries, I can't find that option, and personally I think the TSC 55 will  use a fair amount of power so I think more batteries will be needed so you don't run out of power in the middle of a job. Consider also that getting batteries with a tool is also generally speaking the cheapest option.
