I'm thinking about doing mahogany deck for the front of my house.  It is covered by a roof the whole way, no wrap around, extends about 9' out and would run the length of the house about 50'.  Should I go tongue and groove or concealed fastener like the EBTY?

Thanks

Mike

From what you describe I'd call it a porch--tongue and groove.

Depends where you are.  If not a dry area,  use boards, even Mahogany will rot if not allowed to dry. I use 1x4 Mahogany and IPE.  To fasten-  I have used Marine Adhesive 3M 4200.  Put some on each joist and use a stainless steel nail to hold it while it dries.  Very fast and very secure- I have over 10 decks that are 20 years that have not moved an inch.
