making built-ins part 3,4,5,6a ,6b, 7,8 and NOW # 9 ITS GREAT !

well I just added part 5 it is at the start of this thread.  it shows my set up at the customers house and really shows the value that festools adds to carpenters job sites !

Great, fun series Kreg!

I really like your red, white & blue Systainer, laying front and center.  Too bad that chump stepped in front of it and started blabbing!   [wink]

Whoever was on your camera for 3 & 4 did a great job.  Good framing, zooms in for details.  Really all around excellent walk-throughs.

Thanks. Lol. Got the tanos systainer custom at the iwf show last august. Probably the one and only!  Yep that was good video. I have an editing program still trying to figure it out.

Kreg, being a novice, your videos are extremely helpful.  I was concerned that when using my Domino, I was having to tap the dominos in with a plastic hammer, evidentily that is the way they are supposed to be.  thanks again
Ralph

Good to see the tips in action, you've had plenty of practice and make it look easy, I bet the outakes would be more my style!!

Kreg i'd by you a beer just for the Clint ringtone. On a side note from your awesome vids, I just got "The Man With No Name Series" on Blu-ray and it's fricken fan fricken tastic. Highly recommended "fist Full Of Dollars, A Few Dollars more, The Good The Bad And The Ugly" haven't looked and sounded this good since their original release!

Back on topic I like your use of both the domino and the pocket holes for assembly. Fast and strong. the best of classic joinery reinforced with pocket holes. Thumbs up.

Oh ya tell me you'll make more of these, I'm hoping this isn't over.

Hanks for the compliments!  Yep that was funny when my phone rang and it was right by the camera!  So I left in in !

Videos are not over I am taking it all the to the finish ! And the last video will be me cashing the check and heading to highland hardware and buying more festools !  Almost have every one they make then they come out with more!!!

I was wondering when the home DVD box set would be coming out?  and does it come with a SYS2 or SYS3 carrying case?

I am really enjoying the video series. Thanks!

Coincidentally, I have thew same Ennio Morricone ringtone on my phone, and it rang just as I was about to start a ski run last week. We were videoing it at the time, which made it appear really cool!

Part 6a  is now up (had to make it part a and b as 10 minutes is limit on you tube

Kreg, thanks for sharing these. Needless to say, everyone's enjoying them. Just wanted to make a note that YouTube extended the limit to 15 minutes about 6 months ago to save you the effort of splitting videos.

Kreg:
Great videos!
In video 6b, do those pants you are wearing have padded knees?
There was a speech bubble just as you knelt down but it was black type on a navy background so you can't read it.
Thanks for sharing all your work.
Tim

Tim yes they do they are great I have not worn a tool belt for years since I have been wearing them. I have a you tube video on the. They are Bjornklader ace carpenters pants from sweeten. Jr distributors sells them here in the us.
(508) 415-1538. Tell Richard I sent you and get free knee pads!  Great pants. I link the video tonight

Shane!  Thanks. !  Huh my flip software stopped me so I will have to check it out
3,108 views so far!!

Box set ?  Well maybe!

Kreg:
Thanks for the info I will check the out.
For what it's worth I think the video's are getting better, well more entertaining any way.
Shouldn't you get some sponsorship or something for all the referrals you give?

Tim

I am doing this to help everybody learn from me as I have learned from others I always like to share .

I get referrals from customers who are glad to help a friend find someone who can help them. So I am glad to help the companies who I have found that make great stuff!

And I am having fun making  um as this is how I rock and roll everyday!

So enjoy more on there way!

as soon as I saw the pants in part 6 I did a google search and had to find them.  Love the concept and hate wearing a tool belt.  I'm so glad you posted the brand name in the video, saved me a lot of head ache! keep the video's rockin'!!

It's this attitude that our industry needs to celebrate more. have pride in what you do! Show someone something some day and they may come back later and show you something unbelievable later on.

Extra Thumbs up just for saying that Kregger!
Keep Rockin

These vids are as entertaining as they are educational.  You're a natural when it comes to being on-camera.  Great job, thanks a lot.

Regards,

John

Kreg,

I've been having that same problem with the Kreg (any relation?) pocket hole clamp. It seems to be clamped in good, then just releases. I'm always worried about over-tightening it due what I perceive as a "short grain" situation when it's putting that much pressure just on the pocket.
