Making it easier to attach and detach Festool Hose to Domino 500

Hello.

I've got a TS55 with a Festool extractor and a Festool hose. The hose acts as a male bayonet when fitting to the TS 55.

I've just bought a Domino 500 - and it has a smaller hose attachment, I've successfully attached the same hose - and it acts as a female receptacle for the bayonet fitting on the Domino. But it's really fiddly to take on and off, which is frustrating and also I'm worried I might damage the Dominio tool.

I'm wondering if I'm doing something wrong (which is quite probable)? Or perhaps I could purchase a quick release adapter or something so I can change the hose between my TS55 and Domino more easily? Is there such a thing?

I'd appreciate any advice offered.

Thank you,

Daniel

I have had a domino since it came out and have the same reaction about attaching the hose. A quick connect/disconnect adapter would be most welcome.
Cheers,

If you think that's a hassle, try out an OF1010... [unsure]

Seriously though, I had an "older" silver non-antistatic hose that I bought when I got my first DF500. It had the same internal/external fitment as far as the TS55 and the DF500, BUT it didn't have the bayonet fitting's little grooves. It had one groove going around the outside near the end that kind of looked like a snap-ring groove. The inside wall also had some similar ridges, but more of them. I would slide onto or inside of both tools much easier. I think those ends are still available? but they are not installed onto the hose when you buy them.
If it is worth it to you, it might be worth looking into. It's and easy swap.

If you're talking about the fitting on the LH side in this photo...unfortunately that one is no longer available. The original part number was 456756 and it was replaced by the fitting on the RH side which is 500668. [mad]

Thanks for all the replies. Looks like I'm not alone, which is edifying!

I've just ordered a VAC005 end fitting - I'll try it out and report back on my findings :)

Hi ... Where did you get the VAC005 end fitting ?  I've looked

Bosch VAC005 is a 35mm hose, the shown Festool hose ends are for D27.

The new D27 to D36 conversion adapter doesn't have the Cleantec twist lock.

For 45 American dollars, you can just buy the entire hose.

Can anyone confirm whether the new ends for 27mm hoses will fit onto a RAS 115?

It's a struggle but yes, it'll go on there. Love that sander. It's more of a carver really, but the dust collection it'll do amazes me.

I will confirm what Imemiter stated & add the the new connector does not seem stay on as well as the old connector did.
