March Tool Orders

Is anyone else still waiting for the tools they purchased at the end of March before the increase? I'm starting to wonder if my dealer is jerking me around. So I figured I'd ask if anyone else is still waiting.

Thanks,
Bernie

When you asked the dealer, what did they say?

It took about a week for Tool Nut to ship me my order, I bet all dealers were slammed with pre-price-increase orders. It may also be that Festool in Indiana is out of some things and are waiting for a restock from Germany.

The weird winter weather has caused a lot of shipping nightmares and I hear that Festool was affected.  If you r=dealer didn't have the item in stock he very likely might be waiting for that situation to correct.

I ordered on the 31st from Bob Marino, got my Midi, my 1400 and guide stop, still waiting on my TS 55 REQ + MFT/3 combo.

Bernie,

The answer is all of the above. Bad weather, increased sales due to growth in general as well as that last month before the price increase jump in orders, probably has outpaced production. Don't forget shipping time from Germany. I don't think there are too many dealers who are not waiting on the 1400 outer, TS 55, MFT/3, Hole drilling raile, etc. to be shipped from Festool.
It as frustrating to we dealers as it is to our customers. Hopefully, all back orders will be cleared up within the next 2  weeks - I know - way too long a wait, but its almost here.

My wife placed a rather large order with The Festool Store in Palm Desert,CA and received it in 3 days.

I'm still waiting on a TS 55 and a MTF/3. I've had three promised ready dates and they have missed them all. I wouldn't be so upset except they wanted payment in full and has set an expectation of a couple of days delay. If I had know, I would have mail ordered to a dealer that had stock and could ship right away. Everyone always says to support the local dealer, but this is a case where I would have been better off if I had shopped on the internet. This has definitely left a bad taste in my mouth about Festool and shopping locally.

I had my local woodworking store do that to me when I bought my dovetail jig.  Needless to say I have never gone back there since.

No dealer should be asking for a deposit in full to order I do know some people order things and then not come in and buy. Which to the dealers is annoying as it is dead stock. If a dealer wanted a deposit. It should only be a token amount like no more than 50. When a dealer orders from festool or any of there suppliers they will have there credit terms of 30 days. They will not have to pay for the goods up front. The only way a dealer will not be able to make an order if they are at there max credit limit

Just remember the pain will completely vanish when you pick up that saw and lean against the mft!

I'm also waiting on a TS 55 and MFT/3.

I placed my order w/ Bob Marino on 3/31:
  • RO 90 + CT MIDI shipped out 4/1
  • DF 500 + CT 26 shipped 4/2
  • Kapex + MFT/3-Kapex 4/15

In all cases, I wasn't charged until the product was shipped. The packaging was excellent. Sure I'm anxious to receive my TS 55 and MFT/3, but in no way blame my dealer for the delay. I realize that he is also waiting for a shipment and is just as anxious to complete my order so that he can bill me.

Like Bob mentioned Festool is hoping to have the back-orders sorted out soon. I know in recent weeks I've seen orders ship out on Saturdays to get caught up.

I received mine today. I hope you other guys are getting your soon!

Now I'm waiting on my domino supply to come in. I hope these aren't back ordered also.
