Does your seven days included the finishing (painting)?
I meant to point out when I said 7 days that it did not include painting!
The way my week went the week of the build, install was as follows:
Friday: purchase ply.
Monday: in the shop, rip all of my sheet goods to appropriate widths. Cut the tops, bottoms and stretchers for 4 of the 9 cabinets. Rip and edge joint all face frame stock. 8am-2am
Tuesday: deliver all of the broken down sheet goods for the 4 cabinets, assemble and stand the 4 boxes. (On site 9am-6pm) travel home, bathe kids & have daddy time...go into the shop, crosscut the remaining 5 cabinets tops, bottoms & stretchers, bore pin holes for adjustable shelves (shop 8pm-3am)
Wednesday: on site, assemble the remaining 5 cabinets, drag the island in the closet for assembly. 9am-6pm, travel home, family time then CRASH
Thursday: on site, build & install all face frames. 9am-5pm travel home, family time, shop time cutting shelves & applying 1x edging. 8pm-12am
Friday: on site, rout, dado & paint the dado of the 1x that will wrap the mirror. Receive the mirror, mount the mirror and install the 1x wrap. Install the wainscot detail around the closet entry door. Install the baseboard and crown. Assemble the cherry island. 9am-8pm
After paint and stain: install slides, drawers and drawer fronts in the island and in the wide cabinet behind the island. Cut & install 9 closet poles, install tie & belt slide out racks, drill and install all drawer pulls. Other non related tasks on the same trip included installing and trimming a few additional laundry cabinets and clearing all my debris and tools from the garage. 9am-8pm
Last trip was to bring the four top drawers with locks installed, a few additional vanity extras, program the tv, drill a hole in the green hutch for a grommet, vacuum the garage and a few other odds and ends that are slipping my mind! 9am-4pm
