So, here comes more furniture.
This is a matching tv-bench and coffe table for a media room.
Made from white oak, stained with walnut and ebony poly-x.
It looks a little wierd with the tv and stuff, but it is because of the HUGE tv that the customer has. i think it is a 70" or 80" tv..
The tv-bench is 210cm long, and 40x40 high/deep. The top slab is "hollow" to give room/air for the media components, and ofcourse to reduce wheight.

The coffe table is smallish, beign 100x60x35 cm, but that was the only room left (pluss legroom ofc) inside the huge U-shaped couch that is on the way.
The tabletop splits, running on softclose, full extension, heavy duty runners. This gives some storage inside of the table.

Nice work!

I like the coffe-table with the sliding top. I might borrow that idea.

I like the sliding top -- gret use of space.  Good execution on this piece.

That is really cool looking great idea and love the wood contrast thanks for sharing

I, too, liked the sliding top.  Did you ever think about making an extra leaf for the table, which would go in the "open" area?

Thanks Marty! Uhm, not entirely sure what you mean. Where you thinking of a kind extension of the table? so that you could make the table longer with an insert into the room between the slides?

Marty

Good idea with the extra leaf which could make a nice "side-table" when not in use.
