Planex on the left (210mm height), Leakyroof's empty Maxi on the right (157.5mm height). According to the Tanos web site the 210mm is a Maxi III & the 157.5mm is a Maxi II. Festool USA catalog lists the height of the Maxi as 210mm.

Leakyroof here, owner of the Maxi 2. Apparently I own a Maxi 2, and the Planex comes in a Maxi 3. Maxi 3 is also available by itself through Festool. My Maxi 2 seems to no longer be offered by Festool, but is available through Tanos dealer network. See what DUST we all kicked up with this thread [big grin] [big grin] [big grin] [embarassed]Tom Bellemare said:Steve:
I just compared an empty Festool Maxi Systainer to a Maxi holding a Planex and they are the same, 210 mm.
I have no idea where the Festool Shorti Maxi pictured above came from. I'm extremely interested, however...
Is this possibly a Latchi Switcherooni?

I'm hoping that I can some how provide you a link to that thread after it gets cleaned up as the cut messed up it context.
