Would anyone have an idea of a measuring product that could be used to measure the inside with of a cabinet? I tried using a measring tape but it was not accurate enough. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
JC

I use the Festool/BMI tape; I too use it to measure crown and valance between walls.
I have the small Tallmeter but rarely use it.

depending on the size of the interior to be measured, you could use either a laser measuring device which is very accurate or  as simple as two pieces of straight wood held together that you make a pencil mark anywhere along before removing them from the cabinet and then you would place them back together at the pencil mark and them measure the total length.

I like to use a Bosch laser device to make measurements for anything much larger than 4' or so.

I carry a 6" ruler in my apron and put that against one side then measure to the ruler and add 6".

Veritas  bar gauge head set.
£50  quid here  in the UK.
Apologies  if someone has  mentioned this.

I also love the Hulafors Talmeter, but my Leica Disto resolves all ambiguity.

Even though the Leica spec say .06" accuracy, I swear it's better than that.
I used it to measure base and crown and it was spot on.

Glad you mentioned Hulafors.  I forgot that was on my list.  Have to visit Tom.
I love measuring stuff.  Just like clamps, I can get enough of them.  I want to be buried with my Starrett protractor.

+1 on the Woodpecker Story Stick.  Great for Domino placement.

Easiest way is to use standard folding rule.
Measure say 300mm from one side and make a small pencil mark on tape if necessary and then measure to line from other side of cabinet and add 300mm.

@sae and @rst.  Thanks!

Just ordered the Hultafors 359303 - TALMETER 6M  What a beauty!

The Hulafors Talmeter is great for inside measurements. It has a "tail" that extends on the opposite side from the extensible tape. This gives you a fixed offset from one side of the cabinet interior. You then pull out the extensible tape to the opposite side of the cabinet.

Until I got the Hulafors Talmeter, I used the two stick method. It works just fine.

I ordered the Hulafors Talmeter through Amazon. No shipping charge.
