MEGA Deal from Festool UK on PDC 18 'Set' Version

Ouch that looks bad, it's only the rubber covering by the looks of it.

Festool will sort it :) Super Phil will help you out I'm sure

Is that the depth stop chuck? Is so whats it like. If you havent tried it go out to you truck and try it.... Report back lol

Yup the XL set included the depth stop chuck. Was trying to figure this out yesterday eve but had not much time. I report back. Also got the 3/8 adapter for sockets and 3/8 adapter for the depth stop. Thats what is not included in the set. Down left corner of the pic.

Charging with a step up transformer (mine goes both ways) works without a problem. Still ordered a US version of the charger. Never a bad idea to have 2.

Yeah just the rubber.  I am sure with a little use it will end up a bit bumped and bruised!  Still they were sold as new, so should arrive new!

Mine turned up today.  It was certainly a good deal, but cosmetically it definitely is not perfect.  I have contacted them to say that.  It is unclear if it is shipping damage or was like that before it left Germany.

If I can help let me know

Thanks Phil.  I have contacted through ebay.  Not heard anything today?

I have messaged tts though their ebay site twice now concerning my purchase, but have not had the courtesy of a reply.

I've got twins!!! What a lovely pair, arrived yesterday but I only just got hold of them myself late this evening. At first looks, there is the odd rub mark from transit, think they jiggle a bit in the box as there isn't any foam or packing inside. A little bit on battery rubbers and some on the separate angled head but nothing to get upset or concerned over. Both boxes had their left hinge retaining clips popped out so I popped them back in, one box lid has a split in the rear which I'll flag up. Having couriered from Germany in just a single wall cardboard box they've done really well. My first Festools  [smile]

On my invoice it says they are closed for staff training 11th and 12th so this maybe why you are not getting a response at the moment.

Just phone festool, i have an issue with rhe angle chuck. I messaged phil beckley who is in germany but got back to me telling me to use the service all inclusive and speak to Carla i believe i was

I phoned tts/festool on Tuesday because mine turned up in a broken systainer. The person I spoke to said she would email all my details to Carla because it was her department, I have heard nothing since.

In which case it might be useful to have Carla's email address, maybe Phil Beckley can message it to those with issues, I'd like it to flag up my systainers split. I believe they were busy with a stock take last week and this week it would appear to be training but I'm hopeful any problems will get resolved.

I got my pdc Wednesday at around 5pm. My systainer has no problems that I have seen. Drill looks new and no marks.

I also got my refund from the 'rogue trader'. He thinks he done me a favour. What he doesn't  know is if he hadn't done my refund ebay informed me that they would have refunded me fully.

I have noticed that the angle chuck wobbles once fitted onto the drill. Is this normal? The old style angle chuck I think is much better all round as it fits  on the old drills solidly and much easier to attach/detach.  This new one refuses to go on first go I have to fight with it.

Dean what problems are you having with it?

From my display piece (NAINA) PDC 18/4 the angle chuck does not wobble at all.

A tad difficult to put on as you need to grip and push all the way back the centrotec connector inside the angle chuck (tight opening).

I initially found the RA chuck difficult to put on but I tried blipping the trigger to rotate the chuck a small amount (while still trying to mount the chuck) and this seemed to help ease it on. I think its just an alignment issue (not a problem - just a step you need to take).

I must add that my angle chuck it's not easy to get on and off. But I think being new it'll probably get easier.
For what I paid I can live with it.
The speed of the drill is awesome, drilling holes are so clean now.
