I got a minute to finally check how they interface with Tloc's . Nice.

Nice , happy to see them fitting together
I see they are made in the Chech Republic
Are the boxes different material then the Festool/Tanos boxes ?
What is your feeling about quality of boxes and locks ?
Really like the color

I've got a couple of them, they are made by Tanos and from what I can tell they are made from the same material as the T locks.
The only down side to the Meta loc box's is they are not as easy to open if they are in the middle of a stack as the systainer that will be on top of the Meta loc box will loose it's full connection once you open the Meta loc latch. It can be done but you have to be careful with the box on top. So I would say that the Meta loc latches have two functions where as the T loc latch sytem has three.

Where did your source the Metas from? I've got a bunch of those rubbish brief case size things and I hate them (though the recipro at least fits!)

[member=13058]Kev[/member] Any Metabo dealer should be able to order them in for you. My local Metabo dealer is Home Timber & Hardware.
The tricky part is, Metabo Australia don't bring these boxes into the country as part of their stock orders, so they have to be ordered on a special order which comes direct from Europe. These orders can take between 2 - 6 weeks. Both my orders took 5 weeks to arrive, so as long as your not in any rush you'll be fine.

I have three or so Metabo T-Loc boxes in amongst my other T-Loc boxes. Exactly the same as the Festools but in a different colour, wasn't blown away by the idea of the new ones as I really like the turn catch on the ones I have.

It's indeed strange that Metabo changed to their own design MetaLoc systainer.
After the Classic MetaBox they also changed to the MetaLoc for a short while.
Although the new design is compatible with the Classic and T-Loc and it's even made by Tanos as mentioned above?
I also like the Tanos MetaLoc more then the new one.

BTW: Hitachi and Makita did the same and designed their own systainers after using the Classic for years.
Maybe it has to do something with (high) royalties/costs from Tanos?

I recently bought the Metabo W 12-125 HD SET CED PLUS that came in one similar to the middle box in DB10's picture.  It locks up perfectly with my T-Locs, above or below.

In my opinion the old style Systainers and the Makita boxes seem stronger than the T-Locs but for ease of use, clipping together and un-clipping they aren't a patch on the T-Loc boxes.

Just not even close.
