MFK 700 Dust Cover

When routing horizontal and the black vacuum hood is in place, how to you keep the metal dust cover open so the vacuum can remove the chips? I must be missing something here. My floats freely and if I'm not careful will close off the vacuum. How do I keep this open?

You should be able to bend the metal tabs on the door so it holds the ribs on the opening more securely and keep the door from vibrating shut.  You may have to remove the door to bend the tabs.

I removed mine entirely when I did the Zero degree base plate modification. With the much larger bit that I use, that little slider covered part of the bit.
