MFK sales????

I was wondering how well the MFK 700 is selling for everyone else.  I thought this thing was going to be bigger than when the olsen twins turned 18.

I know I was set to buy one until I learned that you can't cut 3/4 edgebanding with it.  Seems a bit limiting for your sales to produce a tool that only really works for countertop installers.

I really, really tried to buy one twice, borrowed it from my dealer twice.

First time I didn't have the Festool bit and found one that was short enough (it has to be very short) but couldn't get it to cut just enough (three bears situation, too much or too little off, couldn't get it just right)

Borrowed it again the other day complete with the correct bit - this is a beautifully made device, it's sweet and cute and...

It cuts edge banding, quite nicely too, it's also a neat small router...

But it doesn't cut edge banding faster or smarter or better than my tacky little $10.00 plastic thingy.

I'd love to own this machine, I admire it's construction, but for me it's solves a problem I just don't have.

So again, (a little sadly) I didn't buy it.

add a plunge base that works with the shelf hole system and rail, and I'll buy it in a heartbeat.
