Got a question,  think Brice may be able to answer as he covers it in his manual.  I want to add a sleeve to one end of an MFS profile so I can make a connection from both ends. ( want to see what it looks like if I connect both ends  with the V-nuts to the parallel guide)

Brice states that the sleeves are self tapping with a 4mm allen, and to go counter clockwise.  I started to try this but was having a heck of a time getting it to bite. anyone have any clues or do I just need more elbow grease?

thanks
Len

I am going to move this to the Ask Festool area.  Brice can still answer there, but other resources may also be available.

Just to be clear, to insert, or screw in the sleeves, you turn them counter clockwise.  To take them out, turn them clockwise.

I have a feeling they changed them, and they are now conventionally threaded.  Mine's set up at the moment, so I don't want to disturb it, but the threads look right hand.

Thank you Andrew.

Confirmed, went in easily once I twisted correct way.  Thanks Brice and Andrew, my eyesight could not determine that they changed the sleeves.
