I have the original MFT 1080 and need a new work surface. I cannot find one any where and the ekat says no longer available. Any  suggestions as to where I can purchase one.

Thanks

I have the old one too but haven’t needed to replace the top yet. Maybe you can get a top from an MFT3 and trim it?

Dimensions of top for MFT/3 & MFT/3-Basic: 1102mm × 718mm (43-3/8" × 28-1/4")

Not able to measure my MFT right now but I think the 3 is slightly bigger.

Maybe make your own?  TSO Products is having a sale this weekend, you could pick up the PARF Guide system  for drilling the holes.

Another option is to find someone with a CNC Router and have them cut it.

make yer own, use 1" MDF cut to size, if you or know someone who has a LR 32 you can use it for the holes.

easy peasy

Or if you struggle to get a new top, clamp the new board to the old, drill through each hole a bit undersize, and then use a router bit with a bearing to finish each hole. Once you get into the groove it wouldn't take too long.

When I replaced the tops on my 10880's I went through all the different options available then --- the Dashboard wasn't in the picture then -- and decided that the best for me was to have a top made by a cabinet shop with a CNC machine and it worked out well.  It took some effort to find the shop but I had confidence in the results and I didn't have to buy any tools.  It is likely the last set of tops I will need. If I had the same decision to make today I would probably opt for the Dashboard table and setup.
