MFT 3 folding up

A word of caution regarding the foam blades:  they are LONG.  And scary sharp.  Maybe I am the only one who normally uses blades that will barely cut 1 1/2" material and has become jaded and accustomed to only worrying about what is underneath the workpiece to that need - the Festool long blades require common sense and pre-planning on supports.

Like I said - maybe I am the only one on the planet who has had an oops with a longer than usual blade but I thought I would mention this for those who will try the blades for the first time.

Yea I noticed and even tried looking for a shorter version. Doesnt look like they make one, so Ill just cut one short and grind a rounded end on it. Its not going to be doing any "plunge" cutting so the end doesnt need to be anything fancy. And I only need it to cut through 2" thick Styrofoam so it only needs to be about 2.5" long.

Cutting rigid and fiber (batt) insulation... try using a CenterFire blade from Bullet Toolshttp://www.bullettools.com/insulation/

I use 3" for rigid mostly but when carving up batt insulation nothing beats the 7" in a utility knife. Bullet Tools makes a dust free rigid insulation blade for circular saws if production is needed.

The plan is to stand them vertically in a cupboard similar to you AIPDX, so a photo would be fantastic.

Here is the photo. Sorry about the delay.

The cabinet next to the MFT-3 is a standard IKEA cabinet, possibly PAX wardrobe (I bought it about 10 years ago and can't remember for sure what it was).
The plywood box which is under MFT-3 does not serve any purpose related to MFT-3 - it is used to store a jack which I use to lift my car when swapping wheels for the winter.
There is a fair amount of pieces of plywood and junk that I stick between MFT-3 legs and sometimes a few things go on top of it.

Festool has a foam cutting knife blade (Festool 493656 S155/W Foam-Cutting Jigsaw Blades, 6 Inch, 3-Pack $19.00) for the Carvex (or any jigsaw that accepts the bayonet style blades) and they work great with minimal mess.

Does anyone know if these are suitable to cut "warmboards" (drywall+isofoam)?
How do they perform/last cutting through drywall?
Regards, Alan
