MFT/3 Height Adjustment Sticky

I have an MFT/3 I've been using for a few months.  I love it.

There is one weird thing, and I'm not sure if it's normal or if I need to adjust something.  The big black handle that locks the height adjustment in is very hard to push, and makes a loud "ka-chunk" sound when I lock it.  The front and back both do it, so it may be normal.  It seems like I'm pushing too hard and I don't want to break anything.

Any one else have this issue?

If you want to loosen up the action, here is how to do so.  Please note that as Steve mentions in the video, a tiny amount of adjustment goes a LONG way.  Go to about 1:15.

Ya know I had the same problem. I asked Allen K on day and he showed me how to lock it lever.

I went duh.

Simply just push up the black handle while your pushing down on it to lock it.

Well, that worked.  I loosened the set screws a touch, then put upward pressure on the handle while pressing down.  No more ka-chunk!  It's a little counter-intuitive to pull up while pushing down, but an hour or so into the day and it was a natural movement.

Now, I just need to figure out why that handle isn't green... [wink]
