Hello all.  I've got a MFT/3 Kapex table that the adjustable leg appears to be slipping.  Basically, no matter how far I turn it in either direction, it never goes up or down.  I turned the table on it's side and was able to pull the adjustable part of the leg off rather easily.

Any suggestions on how to fix?  I've looked at the ekat site but wasn't able to determine what I'd need or how it's supposed to look.

I'd rather not have to ship it off to Festool for repairs as the shipping costs aren't attractive.

Thanks in advance.

Karl, do you have weight on the foot? Or, do you have the table upside down? If upside down, sit it on the floor normally and try to adjust it.

Karl:
After you remove the long rubber foot (465883) check to see if you can turn the Adjustment (448178) in the bottom of the leg. This cam like part is friction fit in the bottom of the leg and if it spins you won't get any movement on the foot.  There is a lot of grease applied to this part and sometimes the grease gets into the shaft of the leg and there really isn't enough friction for the cam to push the foot to move up or allow it to move down.
If you can, pull it out and wipe all the grease from the inside of the leg and and the outside of the Adjustment. Be careful not to remove the grease from the cam area of the Adjustment foot and push back into the leg and reassemble the foot and test by turning the rubber foot. You should see the top of the rubber foot travel up and down the leg if it's working properly.
