Hello!
First time posting a question here. I just received and set up the new MFT/3 table. This is my first Festool experience and I'm excited to get started. After setting it up per instructions on YouTube (see below) I was shocked to see the miter fence is not square to the guide rail. I know how to square it and I'll do that but, c'mon, how can such an expensive precision tool not be calibrated at the factory? I guess my question is, is this typical? Has anyone else had to do this?
I didn't mess with the set screw stops for the guide rail. And it was all assembled very methodically and carefully. Thanks!
UPDATE: after moving the miter rail out from under the guide rail and checking square with the guide rail flat on the surface it looks to be dead on. Hmmm, weird. I guess I better figure out what the *bleep* I'm doing before I post on the forum. Check out that youtube video, though, if you're buying the table. It's very helpful.
