This may be a stupid question but here goes anyway....

I have searched the forum without getting any info but is there any reason why the table top on the MFT/3 cannot flipped over to use the other 'clean' side.  Granted, there must not be any deep saw cuts in it on the side which is used but it just occurred to me that this may be possible and I was curious to find out if anyone had attempted to do so?

Yes, it's designed to be flipped over once it's too badly cut up.

I personally haven't done it yet, but it's meant to be reversible. Lot's of people use the mft as a cutting surface and turn the top over when it get's too cut up. (I only use mine as a worktable, or cutting to length boards that are too wide for the kapex; I have a seperate cutting table that supports full sheets for ripping and odd cuts)

Thanks for the prompt replies.. I had not read it was possible to do so.  My table is new and so won't need to be be turned for a while I hope  [smile]. It's nice to know I can turn it if needs be and save a few shillings to spend on some other green gadget!

In the MFT instructions under the MFT/Kapex section the maintenance instruction is to turn over the top.

I guess I missed it in the instruction manual... Bearing in mind though that I basically purchased the items listed below over a very short period of time I must have been suffering from information overload [big grin]

Now that I have the new workshop basically sorted out and set up I'll have to get the books out to see what else I have missed  [unsure]

Really enjoying using the tools ....
