Those are part of the new Clamping Set that Festool released in the EU.

Knowing our luck in North America, it'll go one of three ways:

-We'll never see them
-They'll be a "limited edition" set, with only 2 or 3 per retailer imported into North America, and they'll be impossible to find
-The remaining stock will be sent to North America when they're superseded by something else

And even though they're no a power tool, they're limited from export by Festool's dealership embargo agreements.

It's a simple enough design for someone else to do and offer here etc.

But like so many possible accessories -- we'd all love to see get made -- most never make it let alone from the EU to here.

I found them by searching 20mm clamp woodworking, They look like they are prob not as good as the festool in that the clamping pad might not conform to the clamped face plane as good with the metal vs what I am assuming is structural nylon on the festool. Specifically the metal sheet that hold the clamping pad may not flex as much to conform to the face angle. the Also the textured face of the dog may wear the dog hole some although not if it fits tight. They do look very well made. I am gonna give them a chance.

Anyone can do their own knockoff, but don't expect it to be offered here.  That would be against the guidelines and frankly just not cool.  Offering your product for sale on the originator's website?  Nobody would allow that.

I'm not [member=32478]mcooley[/member] , but I took the "here" to mean "the royal here", as in the US/North America, rather than directly "here on the FOG".  That's based on the final sentence "make it from the EU to here", as well as the previous post from me whinging about limited availability of these non-powered tools in the US compared to Europe.

Speaking of, my "part of a limited edition set with very few per retailer provided" seems to have come true on this particular offering.  [doh]

To be fair, I've been waiting for over a month for a replacement depth adjustment turret to go on the Festool router I bought secondhand and there doesn't seem to be much action on it bappening anytime soon. Thats in the UK so I'm not sure if its Brexit related though.
Those sunlit uplands with loads of unicorns grazing on them seem to be more of a memory than a future possibility nowadays.

I got a pair of these, and one thing that is nice is they worked on the Dewalt folding tables that I often use instead of an MFT.  I baby my MFT and keep it in the shop, but the folding tables at $100 or the first two I got for $50 on sale I don't mind getting dirty or abusing a bit (though inflation bites and they are now $115).

I can't use the regular ratchet clamps on these tables, except in the slots because the plastic is too deep to clear the round holes; but the MFT-HZ had a nice fit into the holes and was suitable for holding boards while using the Domino yesterday.

Good to know! Those Dewalt folding tables are my favorite. Lightweight, pretty flat, and sets up in seconds.
