I set up my MFT3 today. I got it all set up, but I have an extra brass and black plastic wing-nut, not unlike the ones on the protractor. What the heck is it for?

BTW: The Greg Paolini You-Tube on MFT assembly is very helpful (But all his you tubes are helpful!)
 
Tightening the hinge or front support to the channel?

A picture would help.

With out a photo its hard to tell. but Im guessing it belongs on the protractor assy or maybe the guide rail mounts on the side of the mft. each one of those should have a threaded knob

Ah ! Perfect. It's the bottom pic. The Protractor adjustment knob.  The carriage bolt on the floor was another clue.
