My MFT Sysport.

I made a home made boom arm as I didn't see the need to permanently park the CT36 beside the MFT, that way I can use it elsewhere.
There is a CT26 at the rear which is for the home made boom arm.The CT36 with Festool boom arm gets used as well when I am using 2 tools and can't be bothered switching hoses :)

The saw shelf is very handy, I made it oversized as the saw lives there permanently and I can still sit a sander, domino etc there when in use.

The MFT fence is hardly used because I think it is a piece of junk so there is a space for it to slide in under the MFT.
I generally just use dogs as a fence.

Drawers on the left hold clamps, hold downs etc, very handy.

Looks great! I like the saw tray. I allways seem to be hunting for a place to set the saw in the middle of a project.

Thanks, my workshop is small but it works :)

I could measure it up tomorrow if needed, bear in mind any dimensions I give will be in Festool standard, ie metric :)

It's a simple project, I just sized the unit so the MFT sits on top and material can still be clamped vertically if needed.
Allow enough room for systainer lids to stay up when the drawer is fully open, and you should be able to fit a CT26 in the rear :)

Metric will be great.  I want to do everything in metric to learn.  Thanks.

Very nice, simple but looks very effective.  I like the space for the CT to keep it out of the way, and the homemade boom arm is perfect in this configuration.

Looking forward to the measurements as I may build this or something similar.

I love your Sysport.

I have to say this one is the best I've ever seen. Nicely done and very practical.

I will need a bigger surface than a MFT top but I will sure borrow your ideas for mine (with your authorization  [wink] )

This is a great Sysport...lots of useful features to improve functionality.  Love the tray to accommodate tools.  The casters are nice too -- love that style and so easy to lock in place securely when needed.

One thing to watch.....

I once made a similar size sysport with "Big Box Store" plywood.  The top and bottom plates sagged over time - so some reinforcement may be in order.

Webfarmer, that hopefully wont be an issue as I used 19mm marine ply.

If it is, I will put another castor in the middle.

The way I see it, apart from the drawers, because the MFT is supported on the corners it should be okay.

Some basic dimensions, all made using 19mm marine ply:

The cabinet itself is 1156 wide x 770 deep x 745 high, which allows the MFT3 to sit on top so the channels can still be used from the front and sides.

It is 825 high with the castors and 1020 high with the MFT3 on top.

The gaps where the systainers are located are 420 wide, this allows for the systainers and the drawer runners I used which are 300mm full extension, 12.5 mm wide each.
The drawers are 240 wide, again allowing for the 12.5 wide runners, basically whatever room is left after allowing for the systainers will determine your drawer dimensions.
Add these together to get the overall width, ie 420+420+240+(4x19)=1156 overall width. (The 4x19 are the 4 upright pieces of ply visible from the front)

The centre divider is 375 in from the front and 376 in from the back, which allows the drawers to fully open.
Again, add the centre divider of 19mm ply to those dimensions, 19+375+376=770 total depth.
To be honest, this measurement will be dictated by your drawer runners but there should still be room at the back for a CT vac.

Sorry, I don't have a digital drawing, but I hope that all makes sense :)
