Hello Everyone,

Just wanted to share my cutting station. I finally had time to make it.

Wish I bought the mark II. I bought the mark I a while ago when it first came out.

I finally had the time to take it out the box and make a cutting station today.

Thanks Peter Parfitt,

Truong

[member=67259]phamt78[/member] - welcome to the FOG and congratulations for getting started with your Parf Guide Mk 1.

Alsway helpful to see work - in -progress or finishe dwork as in your case - with pictures - THANK YOU.

Let me re-assure you that both versions are equally accurate.

If yo did not  buy the Parf Dust Port - I highly recommend it. Snap it on and quit fiddling with vac hoses while trying to drill.

You also should have a Clamping Collar. If you purchased from TSO it likely included  our custom Stainless Clamping Collar. If not TSO has a few left in stock as AXMINSTER have now switched to a Clamping Collar instead of the earlier less than satisfactory Stop Collar.

Keep up the good work and keep posting!

Hans

I second Han's suggestion on the Parf Dust Port.  At first you think it might be hokey but its incredibly useful.  I did about 80 holes today and twice I forgot to turn on the vacuum and boy, does that 20mm spit out some stuff.  The Dust Port catches pretty much all of it.

Thanks for sharing! I like it because it's simple and efficient. I am working on my own. Is this a Incra TTRACKPLUS36 36" T-Track Plus? What do you use to attach the adjustable DIY rail support to both ends?

Josh2,

I just drill a hole and attached the incra track plus 48" with 1/4 hex bolt and fasten it with a star knob from below. Same thing with the adjustable rail support.

I like your cutting station.  I don'y know why everybody thinks the Mark II is better, it's had so many problems and looks more complicated.  I have drilled about 30 tops with my mark 1 and they are all dead on.  I was just getting ready to order a set of those saw horses you have and am going to make a 5x9 cutting station with 3 - 3x5 tops. https://www.homedepot.ca/product/toughbuilt-c700-sawhorse-jobsite-table/1001128112
