MFT tops

Does the 30 day policy apply to the MFT/3 if the top has been cut into as instructed in the manual or the sticker on the top itself?

Although I find it doubtful that there are many returns on MFT's, what happens to the 'used' tops?  It would be a shame if they ended up in a dumpster/landfill somewhere. I know I would consider a 'lightly used top' if the price was right.

The MFT/3 is, of course, covered by the 30-day guarantee.  If the top is cut into the unit would be used for demo purposes by a dealer or Festool sales manager or used in our training center.

Your answer is getting mixed reviews by me.

Of course I am happy to hear the 30-day rule still applies. However I am saddened that I cannot get a top on the cheap  :'(
