Yellow Alaskan Cedar. 
Shown dry assembled.  Because
I did something I hadn't done in a long time
After that photo (the one with very tight corners) I bored a Domino in the corner. 
The I went straight to glue Without Dry Fit
Nightmare

Oh well I have more to make

Very "Jetsons" Luke!  Love the color of that frame to offset the colors on the image.

Note
I don't own a miter saw or a table saw. 
The Festool mft/3 protractor actually works well.
 
Very well conceived and executed!  The frame really goes well with the picture.  Did you design the frame based on the picture or did someone else tell you what they wanted?

I took the photos several years ago.  I uploaded them to Costco and they printed them on aluminum. The frame is a mid century design I just modified the proportions and selected a clear species that complimented the image.  I need to make two more.
