Don't really move my MIDI vacuum, only use it for dust collection at my bench while cutting, sanding, or routing.  After talking with Festool unfortunately there's not a Boom Arm Kit that fits the MIDI Vac.  So, I ventured to resolve this by poaching ideas from folks here at the site...Much Thanks...here's what I came up with.  I wanted to maximize my use of space, by mounting the arm to this cupboard door, and the cupboard is still useable!!  Not totally unique but very functional.  What do you think?

Thought about mounting it to the side, but that would have interfered with my roll up door operation.  With it mounted on the front I can lock the arm in the mid position and still open either garage door...

Cool,
Could it be possible to see a full picture from the assembly/cutting table?

Regards,
Nico

Side of the cabinet would also restrict the swing of the boom from 180 degrees that you have now to 90 degrees or less.

Here's a few shots of my shop...Bench is 8/4 red oak frame with triple layer MDF top, and round lee valley dogs for clamping...

hi chris.
i noticed in a couple of your photos, that  you have the earlex spray gun.
i was thinking of buying one soon.
do you recommend it?
its difficult to find reviews on the earlex

regards, justin.

wood whisperer has a decent review video...I do recommend it, but would advise you get all the available needles/nozzles...very helpful when determining appropriate flow rates.

Chris,

Thanks for the pictures,
I love pics from workshops, especially garage workshops.
Love to see tools, assembly tables, home made cutting table extensions, set ups, lay out, " the junk material you bought,  but never used ;-)))"
Might be an idea : post my garage workshop aka "post my kingdom" :-))))
