I am new to festool products and took the plunge with the of 2200 router.  I am going to purchase the domino and would like to get a vac.  I purchased the dust deputy festool model so it will hook up to the top of the vac ct 26 but will it hook up to the top of the midi.  I do not mind spending the extra money but the dd will contain most of the dust.  Is there any benefit from midi or mini vs. the ct26 when running the dd ?
Thanks
Eric

With those tools, get the 26.  that way when you decide you have to have another, you can get the small one.

No, not for the new ones. They have the same motors/same cfm etc.

I personally disagree, I think the mini is great to run with a DD. The only disadvantage I see is is the convenience of the setup of its' larger siblings

Hi Eric,

Welcome to the FOG !  [smile]

It will hook to the top of the Mini, but depending on the hose size between the Mini and the DD, you may have to make a 90 degree adapter. The Mini hose attaches through the top of the vacuum. It is doable.  (Anybody got a picture handy?)

Remember that the boom arm won't attach to a mini or midi, if that's something on the future shopping list.

I think I will be getting the ct 26.  It would seem that with the ultimate dd that I have the ct 26 extra size may seem to give me a little more of a edge with the units stability.  At least that what I think
Thanks
Eric
