Nice Ron,
It's coming together nicely, I see you have your ultimate worktable/miter stand storage cabinet built. Are you still thinking of putting together a Sketchup of the miter stand?
If you have a 36mm hose you might find it does much better cleaning out those dados. You can also run the router back another pass on your jig which can also help clear them out.

One thing! that Festool router has RUBBISH,CRAP,USELESS dust extraction. You might as well leave the hose off and vacuum after Instead of putting it back on and off again. That would do my head in vacuum the dust out of the dado channels. I don't know if you own a OF2200 but you should buy one would save you alot of time you would not need to vacuum the dust up every time as the OF2200 leaves it completely dust/chip free so you can just drop your template into the next dado straight away.

The 1400 dust collection does help with dados, but could be better. Maybe a large suction hose for air volume. When edge routing with the dust shield installed on base, the 1400 works very well. I just think the airflow in my current set up cannot over come the spinning bit and open dado slot created.

I use a 36mm on my OF2200 and even with the spinning bit and open dado created it still sucks it up if you move just at the right speed you see the dust left behind but then gets pulled back towards the OF2200. If you move to fast it leaves the dust behind and if you move very slow you dont see any dust at all left behind so I often just try and play around to move just at the right speed so I can watch the dust get pulled back in! its Fun! lol Sad I know!

JMB, the 1400 will take the 36mm hose. I have been using it on mine the last couple of days doing stairs. As with other festools, the 27mm fits inside the dust shroud & the 36mm fits over it. The 36mm does help with dust & chip extraction besides the smaller hose but still not brilliant when hogging out stair tread housings with the dovetail cutter. Still way better than my old Makita, gave up on trying to get the dust chute on that thing, it was useless.
I have been hearing good things about the 2200 & i always said i was not going to spend the best part of 1000 squid on a router but i am starting to come around [unsure]

Like some other have said, I would be worried about that big step down to the liftgate. I suggest both a fence and a ramp.

How about some kind of folding stairs? If you will be cutting in the truck that will mean a lot of trips. I think stairs would be more comfortable and safer too. Here's a link to a commercial product

This commercial version is obviously overkill but you get the idea. A ramp would have to be very long to be comfortable at that height and it still wouldn't be comfortable.
And by the way it was cool how you could route those dados holding your router with ONE HAND while you steadied the template with the other hand. The good old OF1400, finest router in the world.

I will join Guy in saying that it's real good! The dust collection is well amazing and it runs extremely smoothly and some of the accessories make this router extremely useful. For a large router it is surprisingly easy to handle. The ergonomics are very well thought out.
I would think it would be perfect for all the stairs you make.
