Mobile Woodshop Finished

The only thing I preferred about the trailers is when I was running crews and not actually doing the work. It was great to just drop 3 trailers, one at each site. Running a few jobs with one truck would be tough and 3 trucks is a lot more money than 3 trailers. It seems you have exactly what you need and that is the best thing ever. I am not sure I ever had exactly what I needed, there were always compromises.

I agree. I had 3 trailers, 3 trucks, 3 Lead Carpenters and a crew. All I had time for was running from project to project. Those days are long gone. My wife and I are the only employees of Paulk Homes now and I do all of the carpentry. The funny thing is, I enjoy my life better now than then. The stress is way down, I have time to pursue other interests like making carpentry videos and communicating with like minded soles on forums like this. Having a company with lots of employees and millions in work is like having a Tiger by the tail. It set the agenda not me. Don't get me wrong, I miss the pace and the challenge, but have no plans on returning to it. I am looking forward to designing my own homes, building at my pace, and finding a buyer only after I am done.

Thats my story and I sticking to it:)

Im with ya. Enjoy having my own company that only includes me and once and a while my 2 boys 16 and 17 1/2, but not together lol. The past few months I started working 7 days a week because I have so much work. I realized a couple weeks ago there is no way to catch up and cut back to Mon-Fri. Not to mention I busted my left elbow and screwed up the nerves in my arm and hand that need to heal.

I enjoy my work and creating and it does not seem like a job to me. Its a great feeling to come back a month or so to do something else and see the home owner using what I have created for them. Oh and making money for some more Festools is a big plus.

I don't know, I hate houses anymore.

That might be because you cannot make any money building them. No matter how much you love your work, working for free isn't fun.

I don't build houses.  I fix them up for people.  I charge good money.  I still hate them.

I bought some of those pills I see on the internet and I am auditioning for the adult film industry.

Hate to burst your bubble. They don't work. Not that I tried them or anything:)

It's really well thought out, I keep coming back and looking at your photos.
I love the adjustable compartments.
