Hi everyone.

It's one of my first messages here but I've been subscribed for a long time.

My girlfriend asked me to buy a chaise longue before the summer and I thought of making one myself in natural materials.
As the wood for the structure, I chose oak and hemp rope as a support for the body.
All the supports for the reclining backrest were also built by me.

I hope you like it and, if you want, the video of the construction can be viewed on my YouTube channel at this address:

Nice design Mike...I got a chuckle out of the re-bar, but for some reason it works.  [smile]. You do a good job on the metal fab.

Curious how you tied-off the hemp?

Nice work. I clicked through to your channel and noticed I was already subscribed. I also enjoyed your credenza and MFT table builds.

[embarassed] [embarassed] thanks! just today i finished fixing the MFT. I added 6 new screw feet to perfectly level it with the floor of my workshop (which, being in stone from the 1800s, has some level problems) and to be able to place it alongside the Precisio CS70 that I bought in december. I also changed the work surface: the old one was ruined with the latest works! I don't think I can make a video of about it but certainly in the next videos the white laminate shelf will make the works stand out better.  [big grin]
