Molded thread size/specs inside of Cleantec 487071 / 500668 / 500669?

I'm trying to make an adapter that can thread (left hand thread) into the plastic(?) sleeve inside of the 487071, 500668 and 500669 hose end adapter. This left hand thread accepts the Festool hose, but as the hose is flexible, just measuring the hose itself is probably not going to cut it.

I'd be appreciative if anyone can provide the thread info (I'm trying to create a 3d printer part...)

Actually, this wasn't even a festool hose I was connecting to (the threaded end), it was a 3M hose (3M's new XTract Sander).

It looked like the 3M and Festool hoses were identical. Nothing standard other than the cleantec end, which I found on thingiverse. I ended up having to make a single point helix (F360) matching the hose with a custom profile (a rectangle with a rounded end) and do a sweep to produce the thread. 3d printed it and after a dozen or so tries I got one that works...

Taking this conversation a little off-topic, but I'm looking to purchase the 3M Xtract sander.  I have the older CT Midi I'd like to connect to it.

The tool dealer (Taylor Tools) sell a connection adaptor for Festool dust collectors.  Do you  know if the adapter is required?  Also how do you like the sander so far?

Love the sander (5", 3/16" orbit). I was lucky enough to get it when it was 30% off list (Taytools). THAT'S the adapter I had to create, as it did not exist when I bought the sander. I bought the adapter as well (backup plan), but I also created an  adapter to go between this sander and a Festool Cleantec bayonet adapter and printed on my 3d printer.

NEXT STOP is to create an electrical interface to match up to the Festool power plug as well.

Thanks much! Sounds like I'll just need to come up with good adapter.  Looks like a nice unit.  They are being offered at a 20% discount now.

Thanks for your response and offer of assistance.  After researching a bit, I think I’m going to stay in the Festool “family,” sander-wise.  I’m not sure that I want to deal with the paddle switch on the 3M or similar sanders.  I’m looking seriously at the Festool ETS EC 125/3 Sander which should suit my needs pretty well and a big step up from my old PC333.

Even though the 3M Xtract sander is 20% off and good deal, I’m also liking the Festool warranty better and simplicity of connecting my CT Midi.
