Mounting a Festool Router 1400

I just completed making my router table.  I would like to mount the Festool Router 1400 to it.  I would like to improvise and mount the router.  However, I could not find a ready made router plate for the table.  Every manufacturer that I checked with, their plates do not fit the Festool.  Unfortunately, the universal Jessem plate does not even take the Festool; otherwise it would work with any other brand router.

Any one have any ideas of how I can buy the plate ready for the Festool 1400 router or do I have to make my own.

If I make my own, what kind of screws do I need to hang my router with.

I understand that the Festool 1400 is not made for router tables but I do not have a budget for another roouter.

Moataz,

Take your 1400 down to the hardware store.  Go thru the metric screws until you find ones that are the same diameter and thread as the ones in your router.  You will have to take one of the screws out of the base to do this.  I think they are M6 and you will have to see if they are coarse or fine pitch.  Should be easy.  Pick out the length you want.

You can take off the black base plate and use the hole pattern for the router support plate for your new table.

The plunge springs are stiff and make the 1400 hard to adjust from under the plate but you can do it.  Using a jack screw or other arrangement that you creatively figure out will help.

There are a lot of deals on ebay for lower priced routers you could mount. A plunge router is not the best choice for table mounting.

I have a 1400; it's an outstanding hand-held plunge router.  It's a terrible choice for use in a router table; just not designed for that application.

The OF1400 wasn't really designed to be a table mounted machine so you're going to have to be creative to make it work well for you. The physical shape itself is a challenge if you are using a well supported router table top unless you specifically design the support structure for the "odd" configuration. As someone else already stated, the OF1400 is designed very pointedly to be a hand-held machine.
